We're going to Maine for a week!! Family gathering on the 4th! Love that Maine coast! I was just reading Barbara Bush's book and she talked so much about Kennebunkport. We go to York...not too far from the Bush compound, but I won't have time to drop by. :-))
An interesting sideline about the book, as long as I brought it up...she talks a lot about the press...how they lie, distort, make up facts when they don't have the whole story, and , in the process, ruin lives. But why should they care? Their main aim is to get a scoop...to get a byline...to get ahead of every other reporter or columnist while they push their bias. When they are proved wrong they never admit it, and by the time the truth comes out, it is too late because the false stories have gone around the country.
I was just raving on Jevica's blog about how little respect I have for Congress and I have about the same amount for the media.
Well, anyway, I am going to take a vacation from politics! More than a whole week !! When I get back I will have some catching up to do so don't anyone do anything fantastic while I am gone!!
