THE ICE IS BACK!!

Got an email...Report from NOAA that says "all the allegedly 'lost' ice has come back!!
The NOAA is the United States Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration!!  The ice levels have recovered almost back to their original levels .  (Don't ask me when original was)  A third more ice in Antarctica.
  Now who are you going to believe?  Gore or NOAA???  That picture of the polar bear clinging to disappearing ice was taken in August when it is normal for ice to be melting.  The polar bear population has soared.
      The Northern Hemisphere has had its coldest winter in decades except for Western Europe.  Heaviest snowfalls.  Cold killing hundreds, stranding thousands, killing cattle.....well, you get the point.
    The final sentence says "If global warming gets any worse, we'll all freeze to death."
     Meanwhile the money being spent on global warming!  The people who are taking advantage of the the fear to line their pockets!  Never mind how much Al Gore made on that book which was filled with distortions, misinformation, and , according to reports, some outright lies. 
           WE ARE SO GULLIBLE.

McCain:  Terrible.  Clinton: Worse.   Obama: Worst.  
Never thought I would find someone worse than Clinton!!  Words have failed me recently
while watching the developments.  We are in for a rough ride in the next few years no
matter how it comes out. 
      Read something this morning about all this cry for "Change!"  The opinion was that it is not
"us" that need to change  but "them".  Newt Gingrich has a book out that tells how to turn it
all around.  If anyone has read it,  I would love to hear a review.  Seems like something I
would like to read.

Depressing week

With the political news, the economic news, the sports news all so cheerful...I had to get sick to top it off.
As Ann Coulter says, we now have three liberals running for President;  as Newt says, we Conservatives should just leave
the Republican Party. 
   Then with the news of the economy so bad our great Congress and President decide to return billions of dollars
of taxes.  Since it is so obvious that we have billions of surplus (I guess I didn't hear about the deficit )  it sure makes
sense to give everyone a check, especially including everyone who didn't pay taxes in the first place!  But those who didn't
pay taxes are going to have to ask for their checks!!  Now is that fair?? 
    And then Our Great Congress, since they don't have enough work to do, have decided to settle all the problems of
baseball and football!   Are we lucky or what! 
        As if all this isn't enough I come back to find the blogging has been all changed!  After I just got used to the old
routine!!
        So now I will go back to sleep.     Call me when it's all over, please.

Huckabee

Well. I hope Huckabee is happy! Romney has gone and Huck has left us with McCain for a nominee !!
His fans on his website are all cheering him on and telling him to stay in there and beat McCain.  Never happen!
Romney had his faults but he was sure a better choice than either of those two.
So now the problem will be, no matter who the Repub nominee is, to  decide whether to hold my nose and keep down the bile and vote for a very flawed candidate, or vote for a Democrat, or stay home.  No matter what Boortz says, voting for a Libertarian is not worth the trip.
I can see now the hordes of Republicans staying home!  Aren't we great???

McCain

Why??  Why are so many Republicans voting for McCain?  Is it ignorance of what he stands for...of what he has voted for...of who he has been associating with?  Is it only because he was a prisoner of war?  It can't be because of his stand on the war...while it's the only thing I give him credit for,  I thought the majority of citizens wanted it over.   Is it because they think he can defeat Hillary?
     I read the posts of those who are backing him and they don't make sense to me.   His age, his temperment, his lack of Republican beliefs, his arrogance, ...
it's all too much!  This is the best we can do??

football investigation

I didn't see why Congress was getting involved in a football problem that was already solved, but I just heard the magic word...SPECTER!  A senator wants publicity and goes sticking his nose into something that is none of his business!  Geewhiz, why didn't I guess that? 
The Patriots broke a rule, got punished for it, end of story.  But no! a senator wants to make a federal case out of it and, since there is nothing more important in the country  for senators to investigate, of course everyone should drop whatever he is doing and run to have a conference with SPECTER.

Belichick

What am I hearing about Belichick?  Congress is going to investigate him and the Patriots???
Sheesh,  I am so glad that all of the problems in the govt. are solved so that they have time to investigate FOOTBALL!!
It isn't bad enough that they decided to give everyone some money that they don't have (we are in trillion dollar debt, are we not?) but now they stick their noses into a game!  The last I knew football had people whose responsibility was to watch out for football.  I hope that group doesn't suddenly decide to check into the government!! 
 Altho....maybe they would do a better job than the Congress we have elected!
Oh, why did I suddenly get nauseous!

Reintroduction

Can't get into my original blog (seethingsenior) so here's a new one.  I should say I can get into the blog but not into the "create" page.
So this is a new beginning!  Probably won't be any better than the old one but
I enjoy it! :-))))  I almost just gave up, but am not ready to retire yet.  :-)
    As I said with the first one, it is a chance to vent, saves me writing letters which accomplish nothing,  (I know my letters to congressmen are read by clerks and never get shown to the bosses which is frustrating after I went to the trouble of telling them how stupid they are ), and lets me release all my irritation where it doesn't hurt or bore anyone (no one has to read it! except for my daughter and one friend).
       So....here we go getting stuck with a choice between Hillary and McCain.
Is this a great country or what!
        Libertarians, here I come!!
